- A method is not being hidden. What should I check?
- Open the rule and compare the method name with what checkout shows. Matching ignores letter case, but the words must appear. In Shopify, Cash on Delivery is usually named "Cash on Delivery (COD)". Also check the rule is On and that the cart actually meets every condition, including the shipping country once an address is entered.
- Where does the cart subtotal come from?
- Cart subtotal is the value of the items before shipping, taxes and duties. Cart total includes them. Amounts are compared in the checkout currency.
- Can I rename Shop Pay, PayPal or other wallets?
- No. Shopify does not allow renaming or reordering wallet buttons. You can hide them. Regular methods such as manual payments and credit card can be renamed.
- Does this work on every Shopify plan?
- Yes. Rules run as Shopify Functions, which are available on all plans. One exception set by Shopify: in the United States and Canada, customizing the credit card option requires Shopify Plus.
- What happens if several rules match?
- All matching rules are applied. Hides from any rule apply. If two rules rename the same method, the rule higher in the list wins.
- What does "first order" mean for guests?
- A customer who is not logged in has no order history, so they count as placing a first order.
- How do I use customer or product tags?
- Add tags in Shopify on the customer or product, then reference them in a Customer tag or Product tag condition. Tags are matched ignoring case.
- Is my checkout safe if something goes wrong?
- Yes. If a rule cannot be read, checkout shows every method as normal. Rules can only hide, rename or reorder, and they never hide every method, so checkout is never blocked.
- Can I move a shipping rate to the top?
- Pickup, local delivery and pickup points can always be moved to the top. A shipping rate moves up only when no cheaper shipping rate is shown, because Shopify requires the cheapest shipping rate to stay the default.
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing. Stores that install during the beta keep the app free forever.
